TOUR DESCRIPTION

With this tour you get to see the beautiful Athenian coastline. We travel through many little villages one of which is the town of Vouliagmeni where we stop to see the the lake of Vouliagmeni. Then we travel down to the village of Fokea where we stop for lunch at a local tavern by the sea side. After lunch we go to the temple of Poseidon in Sounion. The temple was built on top of a hill in 444BC by Pericles and was dedicated to the Greek god of the sea Poseidon. Today the temple constitutes of 16 Doric columns. In the early 1800's the romantic poet Lord Byron carved his name on one of the columns. After that we will return to the city or your destination.
